Home News, Coronavirus Update/Visiting

Aadamson House is first and foremost a home, providing care in a friendly, warm, and loving environment.

Due to the new government guidelines, our garden visits with any family members still continue however, the windows will remain closed. Therefore, to ensure communication is easy as possible, we have installed an intercom system which can be used on both sides of the window.

Please continue to ask relatives to call, Facetime, WhatsApp, and write into the home to keep in touch with the residents.  They really do look forward to your calls!

Coronavirus Update –

Some good news at last!!

As I am sure you will have all heard this week the government has announced that they will provide testing kits to all homes so that families can come in and see their relatives – we understand this is very much welcomed !!.

How will this work?  We will receive four kits per resident per week, these can be used two at a time (so that we can still adhere to the 2-meter social distancing) test kits will be given on arrival, we are told they take thirty minutes to work.  Once we see a negative test we can bring you inside the building.  We have set aside a small sitting room where you will be welcomed for some much-needed quality time with your family member.  We will provide refreshments. Due to high demand, we will have to book the room in 45-minute slots.
